Saree Draping Hacks for Every Body Type

A saree is a versatile garment that flatters all body types when draped the right way. Petite women can opt for smaller pleats and higher draping to look taller, while curvy figures shine in lightweight fabrics and monochrome styles. Tall and slim women can add volume with broader pleats and bold prints, while pear-shaped bodies balance proportions with statement blouses and higher pallu draping. For apple-shaped figures, longer pallus, diagonal drapes, and darker shades create a slimming effect.

No matter the body type, smart pinning, proper footwear, and the right accessories make a world of difference. At Geroo Jaipur, our handcrafted sarees—featuring hand-dyes, embroidery, and timeless embellishments—are designed to help every woman drape with confidence, elegance, and grace.
